Fall Bucket List Craft

As soon as September arrives, I’m ready for pumpkins and boots and bonfires and all things FALL. As Jack is getting older, I want to make sure that we make the most of each season we have together. Last weekend, we made a Fall Bucket List together (meaning that he picked out the stickers and helped me put them on the card stock).

This was a really simple little craft that was easy to put together and will be fun to check off as we celebrate my favorite season.

Here’s what you need:

  • Cardstock pennant banner pieces (I got a pack from Hobby Lobby for about $4.00)
  • Craft twine
  • Markers or paint pens
  • Stickers (I let Jack pick these out, which means we spent a ridiculous amount of time in the sticker aisle at Hobby Lobby with me trying to get him to look at any and all options that didn’t include dinosaurs)

The pack of pennant banner pieces I bought had nine pennants, so I decided to use one for the title and then come up with eight fun fall activities for us to do.

I just wrote in the name of the activity with a paint pen, then helped Jack place the stickers he picked out in the empty space on each pennant. Next, I strung them together on the craft twine. I decided to hang out banner on our fireplace, under our mantle, as part of our fall decor.

We love the way it turned out and can’t wait to start checking items off our list! I’m especially excited to find a new pumpkin patch to visit this year (the one we went to last year and the year before closed, which I hate because it was awesome!).

Here’s a close up video of our list. Please ignore Mickey Mouse in the background.

We made a similar banner this summer and loved having it as a fun decoration and a reminder to get out of the house and have some fun. I’m planning to make this our new tradition and make one for each season.

What fun traditions do you have to celebrate fall with your family? Let me know in the comments!
